Now, the affected parts of the organisation must also become aware and knowledgable about the chosen innovation/changes. Education and training related to the chosen innovations and changes takes place.
Those affected must undergo a process of sorting through the alternatives and 'choosing' for themselves. They first need to understand why we need to "re-engineer the sales and distribution process". They need some say in how it will be done. They need to personally commit to making it happen, to some degree. In other words, we need to begin the process that will enable those who will have to actually adopt the innovation to make the decision to do so, as has been done already at the strategic and organisational level.
